We used to have a summer camp in Erie, Pa and they had one there. Loved it there. Anything you can possibly imagine grocery store /deli wise is available at Wegmans. I wish there was one in Pittsburgh.

I wanted to add that while you can spend a lot when you buy the fancier item, their prices for regular groceries are good. The bread and bagels are wonderful.

I believe it's a regional chain ... just the northeastern U.S. ?

Anyway, for some family members, I order Wegman's gift cards for Christmas and they're always a big hit.   Great stores and it ranks high in top employers in this country.

yes, we have one a few miles away, but i rarely go there.

i much prefer THE FRESH MARKET. it is smaller and more manageable than wegmans and the service, quality, and selection is excellent.

I ❤❤❤ Wegmans‼  For a while, the closest one was 20 miles away from me, and I happily drove to it about once a month for my favorites. Now there's another one about 4 miles away from me.

Amazing wine section; fresh bread loaves sliced on request; cheese section of hundreds of varieties from all over the world that you can taste before buying (they challenge you to taste ALL of them if you like -- lol); meats and charcuterie like Jamon Serrano or just roast turkey breast; restaurant inside with a fantastic buffet;  dinnerware including stoneware from Poland and Italy, etc.

They have all prices points, not just very expensive items.

@sunshine45 Fresh Market is my 2nd favorite store! It's only 2 miles from me.  Much smaller than Wegmans, but they also have specialty items hard to find elsewhere.  I agree with you, their staff is always so nice & helpful.

there are two fairly new Wegmans but both are 70 miles from here. shopping there is a daytrip - talking just being in the store is a daytrip!    to me it is overwhelming. the fish prices were outrageous. vegg expensive.   the rolls were good.  the grocery shelf items mostly Wegmans brand.

they had a wine/liquor annex and their variety was great but prices nothing special. i did receive two Wegman's reusable cloth wine bags.   have not shopped there again, too long of a drive.
