After retirement. When I underwent total knee replacement on both legs, my surgeon recommended wearing flats for maximum comfort and mobility.

I quit wearing them when I got plantar's fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. I sometimes wear high wedges, but not very often. I go for comfort these days.

Never worn heels unless it's a leather bike boot.Probably why I have zero foot issues.

As long as I keep them under 3" and they are well constructed, I'm okay.
