Peach Schnappes- straight up..
I'm probably the oddity - as usual. But I do this with a few things, like peaches, strawberries, and pineapple.
I love love love the fruit but I don't care for stuff made with them, like ice cream, pies, etc. I don't know why that is. It's weird and it's me so I guess that's the 'why'. hehe
As for just peaches - so very delightful! I like to refrigerate them, then clean, cut up (without the skin - can't handle that) into bite-size pieces, and put in a bowl and just eat one like that with a tiny fork.
If not as nice as I'd like, I'll macerate and then eat the same way.
I just don't want them 'in' anything or made into anything. Just good ol' nekkid peaches!
As I mentioned in the other thread - also the smell of peaches is my favorite of all time. I could smell peaches all the time and be very happy about it.
My cousin's hubby is like that, but with peanut butter. He loves the peanut butter itself, but only as a spread. He won't eat 'cooked' peanut butter anything, like cookies, brownies, etc.
Can I offer anyone a glass of fresh peach sangria?

CB, you just reminded me of how we ate peaches sometimes when I was a little girl... and I still do if I get some really really sweet ripe ones - cut up in a bowl with a little sugar and plain milk. Yum!

Interesting! I figured I was the only person with such strange food things. I do that with so many things. I like bread and I like pudding, but don't get near me with bread pudding. Wet bread grosses me out. hehe - same for rice pudding. Rice is great and, again, pudding is too but keep the rice pudding.
Fuzzy and slightly soft.....a la carte.
That is so my way to eat a peach. Lovely to look at and divine to taste.
No pastry or ice cream needed and I do not say that about many things, because I so love pastry and ice cream.
