~ to anyone with a spaniel ~

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (a rescue) and I give her a bath every 4-6 weeks. I always use the blow dryer on her afterwards, particularly around and inside her ears so they get dry (recommended for Cavaliers). But, no matter how long I do it, the outside of her ears stay wet forever! I gave her a bath today at 12 noon ..... at 4:30 when I took her out, she was totally dry everywhere except for the outside of her ears! What in the world?????

Any ideas from spaniel owners?
