Between my allergies to wheat and bakers yeast, I can't eat any breads right now but flat bread made from corn.........yet, the OPs desire is mine as well.

In Victoria BC, there is a wonderful place in Oak Bay that has a high tea with the most wonderful crumpets with clotted cream that is absolute heaven!!

Wait. What?  Ginger cranberry bread?  Where is your Whole Foods, Shangri-la?

haha, in Massachusetts - cranberries are a way of life out here Smiley Happy

I don't think we have that in Little Rock.  We have a brand called "Old Mill" that I think is local.  They have a cranberry bread, but it's not that good.  They have one called, "Tomato, Herb and Cheese" that smells like pizza, and is my favorite.

The whole foods I go to have their own bakery (I don't know if that is standard at every whole foods) and they make it there.  plus pretzel rolls (which are really good toasted with some almond butter)

They also have a brick oven where they make pizzas.

Remember date nut bread by Thomas'? They then used to make it a seasonal thing around Christmas time. Now I never see it and I loved eating it with cream cheese as a teenager.

Today I just finished a loaf of Pepperidge Farm chocolate chip bread for breakfast. it took about a week or more-- 2 slices at breakfast with butter and sprinkled cinnamon sugar over the toasted bread. Yum yum!

banana nut bread

orange cranberry scones

and a specialty bakery's tomato-basil bread.

For everyday I have to stick to whole grain, low carb bread. I splurge with Cinnabon bread.

For me, choosing a favorite bread is like a parent choosing a favorite child. I really like it when Thomas' has their flavors of English muffins like cranberry, pumpkin spice, banana nut, and cinnamon vanilla. As soon as I see the "limited edition" banner on the package, I'm doomed. I have very little no willpower whatsoever. I'm an advertiser's dream customer!

The Whole Foods here also have the pizza ovens.

Have you ever had the white pizza?  OMG. An EVOO base with roasted garlic and mounds of ricotta and mozarella.  To die for!

Peter, the pizza bread sounds wonderful!
