I know when the magazine 'First for Women' (that stopped publishing last year) had some fans on this forum.

I thought I would warn about a possible scam . I received a very official looking snail mail the other day stating that they were back in business. The offer was a special price of $14.?? for a year. When I went to the e-mail address supplied it was much higher. It smelled fishy from then on.I did an Ai chat and it said most likely a scam -toss it.Looking closely at the mail and the magazine covers were a year old. I even looked at my public library site and there were only old issues offered.I could find no evidence that they were back in business.

I received the same info in the mail as I used to subscribe to First. Thank you very much  for checking this out!

I guess when I think of  scams. I'm thinking it's mostly online. The offer they sent looked legit, sadly.

Sending a big thank you again and I 'll have to watch things more carefully

Thanks, I was a long time subscriber. I haven't received any offers at this point.

@catter70 I wish it were true that they were back in business. That was the only snail mail magazine I felt worth the money to me. My conclusion is that someone has gone 'phishing'.

Yeah, me too, though I still get Women's World and Good Old Days and a couple others. @okaywitheasypay
