Did you all remember James Dean died 59 years ago last week? On September 30, 1955---I was so in love with him and I was 12.

Everytime I see James Dean I think of David Essex's song:

Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen
Prettiest girl I ever seen
See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean
Jimmy Dean
Rock on
Rock on
Rock on

I remember it well, too.

I was 8 years old, but even at that young age, I did have a little crush on James Dean.

My parents always took me to the movies with them, even if the movies were adult ones, so I saw all three of his films when they first came out.

Even though some of the finer points went over my heard, I loved East of Eden the most, and it remains one of my all time favorite movies.
