I'm absolutely fine with showing who reports. If I ever think I need to, I wouldn't be apologizing for it, I'd stand by it just like my own posts. Why wouldn't everyone?

It might sound good on the surface but it's not, it would cause even worse problems here.

There are times when reporting a post is justified and necessary. We may not all agree when those times are, but most of us know that there have been some that need to be reported.

Posters should not have to fear & avoid using that feature by being named.
