Yesterday I had a routine blood draw and, making small talk, asked the tech if they had received any briefings on coronavirus. She responded "no" because there is no issue!

Brazil has its first case - a man who returned from a trip to Italy. He tested positive, but results are “preliminary.” They will be confirmed tomorrow. Reports are that there are dozens of unconfirmed cases in that country.

The virus' spread to these regions is inevitable. Give this two weeks and watch the case count.

I don’t think we can take anything as the absolute truth coming out of China. It still scares me to death when I think of the potential this virus has for spreading worldwide.

@shortbreadlover There is one case that was just announced in Brazil. It is a woman who recently visited Italy. Antarctica is now the only continent with no reported cases.

I am just guessing that the cases reported so far have been in areas where more travel takes place....could be that people from China just don’t travel to South America in large numbers very often, of perhaps it isn’t being counted and reported . I don’t believe most of the numbers coming out of China are legit.

I've seen numerous medical professionals say that a mask won't protect you. Apparently, it's spread by contact not air.
