I am so very sorry to hear of this devastating news.

that is same way my DD felt when she got her cancer diagnois 3 years ago. she had surg to get rid of the large tumor, went thru radiation. She just had her body scan last week for her yearly check for reoccurance. She got good news.

the bad part is her husband was discovered with thyroid cancer and kidney failure . the thyroid cancer was removed, went thru radiation therapy. he had his appointment with Johns Hopkins organ donor unit, paperwork and what ever else is in the works for him.

hang in there, one baby step at a time. Keep thinkng positive thoughts.

get some support help from you feel most comfortable.

Of course fear is the first and normal reaction.  I hope your doctor will give you details that gives you less worry and a plan.  My cousin had surgery for lung cancer and is cancer free today.  I wish the same for you.
