1st thought ... Ironic, because "Sparkles" is such a cheerful sounding name.

2nd thought ... stripper name.

3rd thought ... I edited my post about 'stripper name' because I was worried someone would say I was a bigot against strippers.

<br /> Topaz...ouch! You might want to remove this comment. I am sure you hit submit before you really thought about it.

and I would diagree with you on that{#emotions_dlg.crying}

Olivia, are you taking nasty lessons from Melania2? You were never like that, at least toward me.

What did your post mean? It certainly sounded awful. Please expain it to me. TIA

Scottie was correct, in that I hit Submit before thinking it through. Sparky's is a well-known gun shop in the region where I live, and when I read the OP, that's the first thing that came to mind since Sparkles is a derivative of the same word (the irony). I made my comment before realizing that no one else would know what the heck I was talking about. It was kind of amusing, though, to see how posters' biases took the subject to a whole new level (i.e. racist? LOL).

Honestly, I read "Sparkles" and thought it was some sort of stage name.

I think the comment was unfortunate but certainly not racist. So predictable that someone would come up with that though.

I'm glad you explained it Topaz. We are all guilty of that dog-gone submit button at times! I had to apologize at LEAST once today already!

So, Animal lover, I posted this on Marp's thread too.

Isn't it awful that there seems to be so much anger and violence these days. Do we think it is actually more than in the past or are we just reading about it more because of the internet and 24 hour news cycle?

In this case a gun was used and also in the story Marp posted, but these people could have easily used another weapon.

Thoughts?

What did the college student do that so enraged the woman that she followed her home and shot her?
