Whoa! What a thread!

I guess it's how one wants interpret. I don't care for the offerings on shoes the Q makes so I shop elsewhere. I've always liked wearing heels as I've had the legs to go with them. As I've aged, I have bought lower heel heights. I don't care for the Mastodon, Troglodyte, shoes that the Q offers. I don't think they flatter any female. Just my opinion.

Just what is the point of posting something like this? Talk about Troglodyte!

I learned a new word today! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Sad to say, bustles and petticoats will not return anytime soon....LOL Seriously, though. There are plenty of girly-girl fashions and feminine styles out there. You just have to look. I've seen more ruffles, lace, crochet and floral prints this year than I have in years. As for the "comfort shoes" that OP is complaining about. Well, the fact is QVC's core customer is the middle aged and older woman and it's a medical fact that women (not all, but most) lose the fat padding on the soles of our feet as we age. That's why so many women in our age group have foot problems. I'm grateful that QVC offers shoes for women like me. But once again, there are plenty of pointy toe, spindle heel shoes out there, you just have to look for them.

fascinating - but i believe i was pretty clear about making a comfortable shoe that was more flattering. i am older than middle aged = and i don't want spindle heel/pointy toe shoes. don't know where you got that from. ?? yes, as i said already, i know i can look elsewhere. just looking for more choice here. apparently that is a crime. lol.

Unfortunatly, everything on ViewPoints can be a crime. LOL I'm not into "girly", but I do like a comfy kitten heel for dressy occassions. They are few and far between. Most tend to look like "old" shoes. When I do find cute comfy ones, I try to get a couple of colors....just in case. I like "dainty" jewelry and chunky jewelry. All depends on my mood for the day. Only dress I wear are maxis in the summer and a little black dress for funerals. Rest of the time in pants. Maxis get cute, strappy wedges. Pants get strappy sandals.

So true!

I saw nothing in the OP that merited such tone of scolding from "some".

Nowhere did she say she wanted spiked heels, dainty frills,etc. Evidently she pushed some hot button somewhere. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

so speaks The Scolder in Chief {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I don't see anything but a sharing of opinion here. Don't make it into something it's not.

I post because I can. My husband calls the shoes the Q offers something and animal with hooves would wear. He has his opinion and bragging rights as his wife has never been matronly looking or heavy. I just like my pretty heels. I could also have mentioned Wooly Mammoth.Wink

Surely, you can't wear pretty heels everywhere. Do you do anything "physical?" Because heels just don't lend themselves to many activities. Smile

QVC is in business to make money. They do so by selling items that are not available everywhere for their core audience - the baby boomer and older. It isn't easy to find stylish 3x clothing - so they provide it. it isn't easy to find w width shoes that meet the NEED of older women with orthopedic issues - so QVC provides it. What the OP is looking for is available at every mall in every town in the USA - she needs to put down the computer, get off her hiney and shop the mall.
