Very few restaurant coffees ever taste as good as the coffee we make at our house. As far as those sugar packets, they drive me crazy, hate them!

My favorite is Dunkin' Donuts coffee - at their place or mine. Just got a mini-Keurig and am enjoying what they are calling "Donut Shop" coffee. Tastes great also! (I mostly drink just one cup a day, so I'm hardly an expert.)

One hotel I was in served Illy coffee and that tasted a lot better than Starbuck's.

I've never found a good strong coffee in restaurants ... they are all too weak for my taste.

I love Dunkin Donuts coffee, I'm only allowed to drink decaf, and theirs is the best I've tried.

We don't really go to the chains you mentioned in the OP, route 7. But when we're on a road trip, I do like cracker barrell coffee. Tim Hortons - not a fan of their coffee. DD is always my favorite.

I don't go to chains like Denny's or I Hop very often, so I can't really remember if their coffee was good or bad.

Despite the disagreement I will surely get, I like Starbucks. I like a strong coffee with lots of half and half. It's always nice and hot and they have good treats there too!

The only CHAIN restaurant coffee I like is Shari's.

Is that the pie place? We used to have one around here. Based in Oregon, if I recall.
