I have a question regarding "as is"  I have purchased many as is products and have never had a problem.  (clothing, shoes, etc.)

My question is regarding as is with candles.  I have seen as is with example slatkin candles.  I was curious if anyone has purchased an "as is" candle?

I was wondering if they have been burned?  I know on the air the candles have been burned and possiblly when purchased they may have been burned...I was curious.

I don't mind purchasing as is, but I don't want to purchase as candle that has already been lit.  I want ot be the first.   (but I also like the discount)

I am just curious with this question.  thanks a lot.

I have purchased a few candles "as-is".  They were new, never lit.  If I remember correctly, some came in just a brown box and one came in a branded box.

I have never personally purchased an "as is" candle, but I have read reviews where people have stated that candles have been previously burned or even almost empty!  For that reason alone, I have never bought a candle "as is."

However, it seems ridiculous that QVC would sell a candle that has already been used, even at a cheaper price.  I guess it's a chance you take.

@ruthbe  -  You are able to return it if it doesn't work out.

I have ordered as is jewelry and a pair of miz Mooz shoes.  Both came new to me.  The shoes were in a different box, they had an inspected sticker on it.  The jewelry was boxed by designer. Maybe it was sent back, but perfect.  I only ordered the shoes because the new shoes were sold out in my size, then months later these came up, I snagged them to try.

I have ordered many 'as is' clothing items and all have been perfect.  I then decided to take a chance on an 'as is' Elton John TSV candle set of one of the flavors that had sold out and I was curious about.  One of the candles had been burned, I would say for around an hour or so, not much.  Anyway, it was full of soot, a mess, but cleaned up just fine after I wiped it all out with a paper towel.  I didn't bother to return it, wasn't worth the hassle to me.  This is the only time I've been burned (pun intended) on an 'as is' purchase.  Will I purchase an 'as is' candle set again?  Probably not.

I just received a set of two “as-is” Homeworx by Slatkin candles, so I wanted to post about it in case it helps anyone reading here.  One candle was brand new.  The other one was used and kind of in rough shape.  The wax on the used one was loose in the glass vessel; it comes completely out, and I think in transit (customer returning back to QVC, and then QVC shipping to me) the jostling of the box during shipping broke the wicks; because you know how after you light them for the very first time they get charred and brittle, so they just broke off and there was charred dust and little broken pieces of pink candle wax all inside the glass vessel, and wax and char smeared all around the inside too.  Since the cylinder of wax was loose and just popped out, I took it out and scraped and wiped the inside of the glass vessel, and it wasn’t easy to do but it looks better now (but not perfect).  So I’m keeping them, because “as-is” was the only way to get the Raspberry Whipped Vanilla candles, but just letting everyone know what you could possibly be sent if you order QVC's “as-is” candles.
