Another thread about what you had to eat at your wedding brought back several wedding memories.

Our reception was at a hall that would have two weddings at the same time on two different levels. Unfortunately for us, the rest rooms were on our level, and so the people who were upstairs had to come down to use the restrooms. When we arrived the bride from the wdding upstairs was in the BR throwing up and very drunk, and as soon as we came out of the BR my Dad told my Mom that the folks from upstairs were drunk and were crashing our wedding. He had gotten the security people but they were getting loud and mean when being told to leave.

We danced the first dance to Three Dog Night's Joy to the World. For some reason my Mother's friends were appalled that we danced to a fast song. Later we danced to Cherish by the Association. And I cried through the whole dance with my Dad.

My flowers were daisies and my gown was a silk duppoini made by my best friend's Mother.
