And it's a blue moon! ... plus Mars is visible, and if you look closely, you can see how red it is. Off to the side is Jupiter and...I think...Saturn.

If I sound excited it's because I am. For most space/meterologic events at night, here in Seattle the sky is almost always covered in clouds. But not tonight!

It sounds like a beautiful sight and I am glad you were able to experience seeing it.  Astronomy is an interesting subject and there is much to learn about our vast universe.  I always have a sense of peace when I see a star filled sky, so clear and light.
