Re: "Sorry Your Order Is in the Process of Shipping and therefore...."

If at first try you can't cancel an order either call customer service or just keep trying periodically.  I've found QVC's systems are very slow to update.  I hardly ever cancel an order, but when I have tried to cancel an item from "yesterday" I have not had a problem.  I have also noticed when I want to order an item and it is gone in my size and there is no wait list, If I come back in a couple of hours, the waitlist option is available.  Sometimes you just have to be persistent.

One time I was checking my order status, and I had a waitlist order that showed "in process."  I didn't get a shipping notice, so I went back and checked again.  This time it was back to "waitlist."  Curious, I started checking the status everyday, and every other day it showed "in process" and every other day it showed "waitlist."   After a couple more weeks it did eventually ship.  So I always take their status posts with a grain of salt until I actually "shipped" with a tracking #.

Another thing that you can do if you are watching a show where things are going quickly and you need a few more minutes to think, or just to see the rest of the offerings in the show is to use the shopping cart.  It will stay active as long as there is activity within 60 minutes.  So if you put something in your cart, and add something else to your cart with 59 minutes, it holds those items for you.  Then you have another 59 minutes to add something else, cancel one of the items or check out.  I've only used this a couple of times but it has worked well for me.  During FFANY Shoes on Sale, there was a shoe I wanted, but I wasn't sure which color, and wanted to see the presentation on TV first.  I knew as soon as they started presenting, options would be sold out. So I put 2 colors in my cart, kept it active while I watched the show, and then deleted one when I made up my mind.

KyToby: do we really need a snarky lecture from you? It smacks of Miss Prissy telling the children what to do.

The point is- we previously were able to cancel ANYTIME during the 'in process' stage of our order. Now that's changed and we don't find out until we attempt it. I think Q needs to modify their verbage during the stages of the order process. I even get the link to 'cancel' and then am unable to!!!

This is not about whether we take responsibility  or not... [rolling eyes emoticon]

That is absolutely not true.  I've been turned down for a cancellation because of processing years ago.  If you've always been able to it's because you were in before the point of no return.  I have no idea what that is but I'm pretty sure it's after it's been bagged and tagged and on it's way somewhere, sometimes it stays at the drop off destination as well.  NC is where I see my stuff sit.

This has been my experience- after as much as 5 days of 'in process'. So it IS TRUE!  As I said, though-   QVC should modify their verbage during the stages of the order process so we know it's at a stage where it can't be cancelled.

Yes Ms LoveRoses - this has happened to me in the past - cancel and item, items indicates it's been cancelled, yet somehow it still shows up.  Gripes my well, you know.

Sometimes not knowing it did arrive, I end up opening it and then I HAVE to return it and I write in BIG letters - this was a concelled item.  Makes me unhappy!!!

It use to be we had 24 hours to cancel but I noticed that is not the case anymore. I think QVC is hoping that we will keep the item because shipping is so high and we donot get reinbursed for return shipping anymore,  I think twice before ordering.  Does anyone know how long the 3 easy pays will last if we open a Q card. Is that just to get us to open a Q card and it is temporary for the 3 easy pays.

Probably.
