QVC For a New Generation.......said the announcer.
Story supposedly will come on in a minute or two on CNBC. Have no idea what it's all about.

I wonder if that means having a Facebook store where you can make purchases directly from there. I heard something about social media going to start having places to shop. It's called Facebook Shops.

It was a short report about "livestream shopping", which basiclaly is what QVC provides.
You can't go into a clothing store anymore and try on clothes, so designers are increasingly moving to streaming video to sell.
Or at least that's what I gathered from the brief segment.

One of the new shows:
"Travel, Cook, Repeat with Curtis Stone" to launch October 13 with flavors from around the world.
From Qurate Retail's site:
"The show will follow Stone as he visits regions around the globe seeking new flavors and then returns home to teach viewers how to make delicious recipes based on his discoveries in their own home kitchens.
The show will offer fans a new way to stay connected to their favorite chef and culinary brand, with six episodes dropping together that can be viewed anytime, on demand. The combined QVC/HSN streaming service launched in August 2019 and features six livestream channels, along with a variety of specialized and unique on-demand content. The service is available in approximately 45 million Roku and Amazon Fire TV homes and has been consistently among the top 25 free movies and TV apps on Roku."
I've been watching QVC & HSN on their streaming channels via my Roku for about three years. Looking forward to this live streaming series of new shows.

Well, not my favorite chef, not interested so will leave to the new generation. Which I am certainly NOT! ![]()

Sadly the art of cooking has been lost on the younger generation. Many women are now working outside the home. Take out, carry out and prepared foods are the new normal for those under 40. Glad I am considered obsolete but can cook and clean for myself.

The moms I know who are in their 30's and early 40's usually don't like to cook. BUT, they will do it rather than buy take-out for their children. They tell me take-out is too expensive (it is!), And, they like knowing what is going into their children's bodies. I think they are even more conscientious than my generation, because they are more well informed. Also, they don't have the time to watch or to follow QVC. So good luck with that. Grandma can watch and buy, however! Hahaha!
