Re: "Lay flat to dry" in dryer?

[ Edited ]

Sometimes a little research helps too. During Covid I needed to clean this skirt by Karen Kane. It was a midi length  sort slim, trumpet flare skirt made out of this acryllic fabric blend. Label said DO NOT WASH DRY CLEAN ONLY.  But cleaners was not available locally. I put in fabric blend and asked computer can I hand wash blah blah blah.  I named fabric names. It came back reason was one of the fabrics wrinkled badly with water and twisting. They gave me a method...... briefly I was to lay in sink wash bath gently swish, and soak for a bit. Then rinse under water without folding or squeezing. Hold up, drain as much water as possible out, then  lay in large towel, one on bottom, one on top. Push water out. I got more towels as well. Then I hung on hanger, and let dry outside on line. Omg, turned out great. Didn't shrink , looked new. I did lightly press when bone dry, just to finish the fabric smooth . It looked new. Since then I have washed it 8 times or more. Best skirt ever.  I live in it at home from late spring to early fall!
