When I'm out and getting coffee at a convenience store, I always always use a paper wrapped straw to stir my beverage, I never ever use the stirrers that are loose. When a customer needs one they touch most of them to get just one. ![]()

You know that line you had recently about husband pet peeves?
I asked DH and DD what their pet peeve was about me. They laughed and said it was all the paper towels I use ![]()
Not just for the kitchen and dining area, I have my own roll in the bathroom to use for washing my hands. It occurred to me a long time ago that using a hand towel more than once wasn't really that great of an idea, so I use one paper towel and throw it away.
I heard one of the QVC hosts say she only used paper towels in the bathroom, too, and made her kids do the same. I think her name is Jane Brown, I don't watch all that often. Yay for her!

I have paper handtowels in the bathrooms too. When I can't find them (patterns) I use the paper towels that is perforated in quarters and put them in a basket.

When my husband was in the hospital, I took my own magazines to read then left them there for someone else to read.
I always make late afternoon app at the doctors office because more people seem to go in the mornings.
I am shocked at how many women I see use the bathroom and walk out never washing their hands.
If you do go to a buffet, wash your hands before eating because of all the people that have touched those big spoons.
We do avoid buffets more in the winter because of all the illness.

@Moonchilde Oh, I know that you weren't implying anything toward me. And I agree with your comment regarding vaccines. The only reason that I mentioned about getting the vaccine myself is because a couple of people asked me at the time why I didn't get it as an adult. Truth is, it never crossed my mind.

@Lorelei1123, I had chicken pox as a child (bigtime). Rather than get vaccinated as an adult, I got the shingles vaccine. I'm not positive, and I'm SURE ;-) someone will correct me, but I feel pretty covered as far as getting it again. No doctor has ever suggested I get inoculated for chicken pox either, knowing my history.

There was another thread on here about toilet paper I think that I mentioned how many paper towels I go through @Noel7. I buy a huge pack at Costco and always have a back up pack. I never used to use so many but like you I do it because using a hand towel more than once isn't the best idea. I use them for everything from drying my hands after washing to cleaning up and wiping down counters.

My middle daughter visited me recently and she expressed that I used too many paper towels and should use my sponges more often. She's an environmental nut (said with affection). I clean just about everything with paper towels, if I could wash dishes with them I would.
