As I was reading another post, it brought to mind something that puzzles me. When I was a kid, I rode my bike all over the neighborhood, every day, all day. I was a tall, scrawny kid - not much rear.
Now, I have a bike, and at age 66 riding it for more than 15 min. really hurts my rear - to the point that I just can't do it any longer. Actually, it sits in my foyer because the condo board "won't allow" bike racks downstairs, and I am unable to take it up and down the steps due to a knee problem.
Why is this? I have way more "padding" now than I ever did as a kid .... you'd think it would be even more comfortable - sort of like a cushion.
