Inexact Pain

I inflict great pain

by merely passing through

dirt lots, gardens, unsuspecting grasses

A soft swish, cracking blade and rigid stem

bruising splitting bone and flesh:

misery under my witless footsteps' crush.

*****

And living beneath,

near splintered roots and stalks,

small life:

brutalized

---wherever I walk.

dooBdoo, I think about everything. There is absolutely nothing I don't think about in my daily life. I don't think most posters here would approve of my life. But the people in RL understand me. Thank you for reading these little writings.

Wow. You wrote that sylvia? I don't care for a lot of poetry but this really spoke to me. Since I was a kid I've always looked at the ground when I walk. To this day, if I see an ant on the ground in front of me, I make a point of sidestepping it. I hate to think I'd kill it with my step. After a heavy rain, the worms come out and I find I'm sidestepping them all over the place. I think about the life under my feet too. ${#emotions_dlg.mellow}$

Thank you all for reading. I can hear the green grass breaking and the winter grass too. I try to avoid ants and other also. dooBdoo, I'm surprising looking and I love nature and the people in my life. Today, I met two new people and I felt so good.
