It seems when you read posts here that many of you all seem to think that only the good guys should have rights under the law and that they should not apply to those you perceive as bad guys. For instance - a convicted wife abuser should not be able to appeal that conviction or Jerry Sandusky should not be able to have his trial near Penn State, or Casey Anthony should not have been released after she was found not guilty by a jury. You also seem to feel that a courtroom is a place for justice to prevail. Those are two very naive, immature attitudes IMO. Rights apply to everyone - weather we like it or not and for that reason sometimes the guilty go free and the innocent go to jail. Sad but true. And the "truth" of any situation is so skewed in a courtroom that it is practically non existent. Seems many adults in this country lead very sheltered lives and don't actually know much about real life out in the real world.
