No, you have plenty of company. I cannot wait for it to be over. I'm just not fan of of winter sports. Sorry, Curling and Luge and Hockey are of no interest to me whatsoever. And I won't fake it. I enjoyed the ice dancing and I enjoyed the figure skating but I've had my fill. Bring on the closing ceremony!

If a person chooses there are plenty of outlets one can listen/watch/surf that have nothing about the Olympics.

I am not sick of it per se but what I do not like is that I am signed up for CNN Breaking News Text Messages and I get a ton of them about the Olympics. Seriously - I don't consider the Olympics win/loss any type of Breaking News that would necessitate a Text to the World.

Athletes have worked hard for most of their lives to get to this point. Some enjoy cheering them on, admiring their strengths, determination, and courage. I think for two weeks every two years, people can be content to watch movies On Demand, listen to music, watch any of the hundreds of other channels, or read a book till it's over. No one makes anyone watch it.

I do not watch the Olympics (except for the figure skating, which I can never seem to catch it while it's on, they deliberately don't show a schedule).

However, the Olympics on NBC causes almost all of the other channels to change their schedules to reruns and insignificant programming, and that does irritate me.

I watch some, I like hockey and snowboarding, but can live without the rest. Figure skating is okay, I used to like it more but have lost interest.
