I was watching the weather channel. Looks like you all are really going to get hit.Sometimes when they predict these really bad conditions it doesn't actually pan out that way. (fingers crossed for you all).
Even Fl. is going to get a chill with lows in the 40's and highs in the 60's. a real bummer if your here on vacation.

I'm actually glad for the snow which means its warmed up a bit-
The cold snap and wind has kept my Goldies in the last few days so they'll be able to get some much needed exercise in the snow they love-
When my dogs are happy, I'm happy!
Stay safe everyone-

I have to say I'm a little jealous because I always loved a good snowstorm & being stuck home ☃️☃️ With a nice fire going cozied up with good book. No snow here but thunderstorms .... I know 🙄 (As my northern friends say: want some cheese with that whine!)
My friends are flying in from Long Island coming into Tampa after midnite because no guarantee they could get flight for Wednesday.
Please be safe and if possible stay home!

It already started hours ago. They're saying 14 to 24 here where I live in PA maybe more with high winds, possible power outages, and drifting snow. Have I said it before? I HATE snow! lol. I pray we don't get power outages! My husband is off Tuesday (thank God). They postponed his bosses meeting and as I posted on a thread yesterday its his birthday Tuesday. So anyway I'm glad hes home, one less person to worry about venturing out! My daughter is hunkered down with her family and my son is staying w my kids dad (my first husband) near their job so they can walk right to work!.
This is funny, we have a dishwasher but I wash pans by hand too. And I said to my husband I just saw we are almost out of dish soap what if we cant use the dishwasher if the power goes? He said and that's what you're worried about, running our of dish soap and washing dishes? lol.
We got gas for the snow blower, 1 car in garage (other 1 in driveway), did wash earlier, ran the dishwasher, took a burning shower and washed my hair. Got the heat up high thinking if we lose power maybe it will still be warm and not so cold. Got plenty of groceries, water etc, pet food etc, (already had all of those as we stock up more in Winter). Cellphones charged, portable charger charged, and we have our medications of course.
But I still wish we had a generator. MIL called to check on us from out of town and also said we should have a generator (they have one). I know we should but cant swing it right now.
(And now I wrote a book because I'm tired but can't sleep. lol)
Be safe everyone in the storms path!

@Shorty2U Have you looked into getting a generator? Sometimes you can get a no-interest deal...6 or 12 months, maybe longer.

We checked them out the other year just to look at prices. Thanks for telling me that about no interest financing, that sounds good, maybe we will get one for next year. First we have to get a whole new unit of French doors with a screen in the back of the house installed which we are getting in May. (They have started to slightly leak some water and the track is bad to hold the screen. We put that off for 2 years).
