just wondering how everyone feels about neck gaiters instead of masks?

does anyone find them easier  to breathe or more comfortable?

thinking of trying one out to see how it works.

i have seen some on amazon that even have loops for your ears.

I just this afternoon ordered a 6 pack of the neck gaiters for everyone in the house from Amazon.  I am hoping this will be better for me.  The masks make me feel like I can't breathe, fog up my glasses, etc.  The ones I bought are hand wash & quick dry.

The shipping is slower (which I do inderstand) for AP now than in normal times, but this we are all going through...There is nothing normal about it.  I will be patient, and hope they show up in a week or so.

We have been wearing neck gaiters for the last couple of weeks, as I already had a good supply of them. They are working out very well so far, but it remains to be be seen if they will be comfortable when the temperatures get into the 80s.

I may try to make some of my own from a lightweight fabric for the warmer weather.

Ya....neck gaiters, definitely need some of them espcially with the ear loops; just when I thought I was finished shopping for this item, I see that I'm not.  Going to Amazon right now and buy me some cute neck gaiters.  Thank you to all who have educated me on this important fashion accessory/clever face mask with ear loops - must look cute while wearing my special health gear.  Later......

Sounds like they would be really hot as we go into summer (around the neck?!!) plus still fog up glasses.

I had the problem the first time I wore a paper mask of it fogging up my glasses until I was told the correct way to wear one.  On a paper mask there is a thin wire on one end that you pinch to mold to your face around the nose.  Once I did that my glasses no longer fogged up!

I think  paper mask is going to be the coolest,  most light weight and comfortable to wear.

Masks will;provide better protection than a gaiter - the good ones have a built-in air filter. But a gaiter is better than nothing.

I bought 2 neck gaiters and hate them.  First, they won't stay up so I have to keep putting them back in place.  I figured they'd stay up with my big head Smiley Happy.  Second, even the wicking ones are hotter than masks since they also cover your neck.  They are going to charity.

I bought reusable 2 & 3 layer cotton masks from Etsy for less than I paid for the gaiters.  I wear glasses and they don't fog them up.  They're also easy to wash and I let them hang dry.   I also have an old bandana I can use if needed.

We ordered two neck gaiters that are supposed to be cooling.  You dampen the material.  I hope that will work in the summer.
