Looking back on it, I can see that Croem. But who would have ever thought it ran this deep.

I doubt there is a soul on this planet not shocked and deeply saddened by this loss. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Oh Wow. That was awesome...Beautiful

The raw Robin Williams, you dont see him like that very often. He was loving every minute of that meeting with Koko, wasnt he. Took me awhile to watch it thru as my eyes kept puddling with tears. What a great video, thank you for sharing that.

Isnt Koko something, amazing...

Oh, SeaGal, what a lovely thread. Noel, your connection to him, I didn't know. And croemer. . . that incredible video. And here come the tears again.

I've been listening to those who knew him talk about the "real" Robin Williams. It's so. . . well, I guess heartbreaking, that they say his intensity was sometimes mistaken (by those who weren't actually in his presence) for excess energy, or manic phases, that sort of thing. When, in fact, the intensity was all about his deep interest and concern for others, his determination to drink in the joy, love, beauty, magnificence around him, his desire to do something to help others, to make a positive mark on the world.

Oh, how I wish we had known how to keep him here just a wee bit longer. I hope he has found the peace he sought, the rest he deserves.

DooB, what a nice post, I have been listening thru out the evening too of the kind words spoken about Robin from everyone he met. He sounds like such a beautiful soul, I wish he could have beat those demons. I know he spoke of his/this disease aloud but who would have ever thought it would take him. Very sad that he suffered so much inside.

I am so sad for his 3 children, I hope they can get thru this in a healthy way. I'm just heartbroken for them.

Robin Williams was a local boy, local family.

He was a man about town, we'd see him everywhere, and he always had a smile and a joke for anyone who said hello.

He was out riding his bike several times when I was doing the same. We'd smile and nod. We lived not far from each other.

He used to have a wonderful house in the Sea Cliff area of town, adjacent to the SF Richmond district. He was known for throwing fabulous Halloween parties for kids, any kids who showed up at his doorstep. Fully decorated, out onto the lawn, and lots of goodies. We took our daughter there for trick or treat.

I'm heartbroken {#emotions_dlg.crying}

Wow, I dont know how I missed this post Noel but what a neat story. How lucky you were to cross paths with him. We will never forget him...
