I've always been a prolific dreamer at night. Even as a kid I would sleep walk/talk quite a bit.

I've noticed in this past week that my dreams are all about whatever happens within the walls of my home. I dream phone conversations with my daughter; boring things but wake myself up talking to her as if we're on the phone (that is the highlight of my day, every day).

I also dream about having internet issues, getting booted out of my work system, etc. Very mundane.

The other unfortunate change I am noticing is my lack of patience seems to have quadrupled. I've never been known as someone with an abundance of it, but lately I am quick to get snippy or frustrated. I did that with  my best friend today through a text and I know I hurt his feelings. I apologized and he said it was "fine" but it really wasn't.

I know I need to figure out a way to get a heavy dose of sunshine. I can't do that at my condo complex because others are not observing social distancing and goodness knows I would snap then. Smiley Surprised

Are any others that are isolating alone noticing any of these things or other changes? Curious if I'm just a weirdo or something.

(hah)

I have noticed an increase in rudeness in some of my co-workers and one person wrote a 2 page email mansplaining something I said and  he wasn't  even close to what I actually meant.  Which is what I actually STATED in my original email.

I've also noticed that I am having to recap almost to the minute what I do every day.

I knew the job I had for 37 years would be difficult to do from home. Well, my friend who is still working, said working from home is awful. She has to meet two different people in the parking lot at work to exchange paperwork. Communication is terrible and she'd rather be there. I think tension arises in homes with several occupants. Just too much closeness.

@SunSprite

Sorry this is happening to you.

I am prone to 'robust' dreams also, they are more so now.

The unusual circumstances we are in may well be creating stress in new forms. While I have not researched it, I'm going to look into it for personal interest.  I'm going to speak with a Psych friend in the next few days and plan to ask where to look.

Just a thought, can you open a window?  It would be good if you could open one and sit in the sunlight, but even without, I find that fresh air flowing through the house helps.

Deep breaths, @SunSprite, deep breaths. :-) Seriously, it's good for what ails you.

This is so funny.  The dream I had last night was so unusual and so upsetting I was actually goggling the meaning first thing this morning.  I came up with it was about being seriously violated, powerless to fight back, and then having a forced new life which I was looking into undoing when I woke up.  Totally makes sense right now.  It's funny how the brain gets you and what's going on before you have a chance to process it all.

Does anyone remember that movie "Total Recall"? I'm thinking now would be a good time to have the vacation of my lifetime implanted lol.....

I did have my upstairs windows all open last week. When our wind started picking up I had closed them (made the mistake of seeing on the news how the virus can travel many feet through the air).

Since I've been getting up so blooming early I think I will open them tonight/in the morning. I think the fresh air would be wonderful! Especially now that we've had so much rain and the storms have moved through.

Thanks for the replies Smiley Happy

For sunshine doses a walk is good.

I walk the dogs at least three long walks and a few short daily. Today it rained in the morning so we didn't go until later.

I was online and my older dog kept wanting attention, I offered water, etc. He kept returning. I shouted for him to get in his bed. I apologized and petted him realizing how snappy I was to him.
As soon as the sun came out we had our walk and we all felt better!

Tonight my son brought me a hamburger & fries I shared with the dogs. (Son & I are social distancing, he's working).
After a month it's the best burger I've ever had!

A change in our routine makes a difference!

I have been having nightmares regularly since this Covid 19 situation began.  It is very upsetting 😟
