hihi --

most of you probably don't know me, so you certainly don't know jim! that's okay. he and i have been friends since college -- 30+ years.

even though sometimes he's a big dork, he is one of the most loyal people i know. and if i'm in a jam, he will move as much of heaven and earth as he is able, to help me.

today i owe him my sanity. he is coming to pick me up and accompany me to dinner with those people to whom i'm related. mind you, it is WAY less inconvenient for one of them to come get me. they can't be bothered, yet they insist i be at dinner.

jim was supposed to pick up his niece from daycare, bring her home, and stay with her until her father (his brother) came home from work. do you know what he did? he called his brother at work to see if he could come home a bit early so that jim could come get me and we could meet those people at the restaurant on time.

i am so grateful, i could just cry. i thanked him and thanked him, and he just shrugged it off and said it was okay 'cause he's getting dinner out of it. dinner at hamburger hamlet is not nearly enough for such a selfless friend.

thank you, jim.

bunny. the very grateful rabbit.
