Re: more interesting...................

That baby reminds me of little Prince George, awfully cute!  I put my kids in a playpen, too.  I had to get some things done and neither one was much of a nap taker. Cage-no.

It's probably my warped sense of humor but the baby cage struck my funny bone.  The kid in the cage doesn't look stressed to me.

But none quite like the element of surprise

Re: more interesting...................

Playpens were wonderful, have no idea why no one uses them anymore.  It was safe for my baby while I was in the bathroom or showering.  My children loved playing in them, it was full of toys .Sure is better than the baby crawling away into danger.

We even took the playpen to the beach with a beach umbrella for between the sand and water time.

Re: more interesting...................

I was born in the 50's.  My mom definitely used a playpen for me and my siblings.  I'm no worse for wear.  I certainly don't remember anything from my "baby" days and I'm pretty sure I turned out ok!

I used a playpen for my daughter when she was a baby/toddler.  It was a god send for all the reasons that colliegirls mentioned.
