We recieved our yearly booklet telling what our changes will be for next year. Overall they are very good. Most of our copays have been lowered. For instance we used to pay $6 for a tier 1 prescription drug and now it is $0 for tier one drugs. We used to pay our PCP $10 copay for an office visit and now there is no copay. We used to have a $320/day for the first 5 days of in hospital stay and that was lowered to $275/day. A visit to the podiatrist used to be $40 and was lowered to $35. Our monthly premium is still 0 and we still have no deductible to meet. Most of the things I looked at were $5 less copays as long as we stay within the network - I have no problem with that. Aso far as the complaining we hear all the time that the AHCA is going to hurt seniors I am certainly not seeing that at all.l as a matter f fact it appears to be slightly better for seniors from what I am seeing. while i admit that $5 is not any big deal - for some folks $5 or $10 less is a big deal for sure.
On the flip side there were small increases in Nursing home care and mental health care.We have insurance for NH care and at least thus far have not needed mental health services.
