Right now, I'm not happy with the postal service because the package I sent to our son and daughter-in-law in Sweden has been looping (gone from here to Montana then California and back to Montana, nuts). I'm hoping it will get there for Christmas.
But sometimes things happen and it is not worth getting upset at least for me.
This is just petty when I look and see what other people are going through in the world and even in the U.S.
Just think, some people hardly have enough for food let alone worry whether they get their mail one day.
So why not just pay your bills online?
@Tinkrbl44They now have a 800 number to call but old towns have old ways.
I'm not talking about your town .... I meant you. You can pay online and not have to mail anything. You can pay on their website, or have bills paid directly from your checking account. Easy peasy.
@Tinkrbl44This is a small electric company and they don't have a website bill pay.
I know backwoods for sure
It would make it nice but Oh well.

I used the wrong word, I should've said annoyed. But I quickly got over it. I do feel lucky that any problem I have is minor compared to others but in the moment I reacted and got annoyed.

Oh how I miss my old mailman. He was great compared to the incompetence I see now.
If your job is to sort before delivery, how difficult is it to read the name and address on the letter or package correctly? More than once I've received mail belonging to others. When this happens on a regular basis, it's sloppy work. I try to drop off mail at the po because it would probably get lost if the carrier picked it up.

Many times she has given us someone else's mail so I just put "delivered to wrong address" and put it the box the next day. Earlier this year we paid a phone bill then I get a notice that we never paid it. I know I paid it and even had the carbon copy. It was a stressful few days because somehow the original bill got lost betweeen our house and it's destination. I know they work hard and I appreciate their hard work. I don't know why I let the fact she didn't stop yesterday get to me but I did have to let them know that the mail didn't get delivered in a nice way.

A carrier like I have. Smoking behnd a Bush and delivering to the wrong house three times. He is young, and I Can,t understand him when I try to communicate with him. How do these people get these jobs?

Perhaps those who are angered about receiving the mail a day late haven't "walked a mile in those moccasins". I give anybody kudos and much grace if they do a job that exposes them to the elements. That with the extra weight & volume of holiday gifts & cards should earn the worker a bit of grace IMHO.

Wow I never expected this much coversation about this topic. I do appreciate their hard work especially in the busy time of year. I should've have posted when I was annoyed with her. Postal Workers do great work all year and it's really no big deal when they put someone else's mail in my box. I was momentaiily ticked off at her/

There are many times and people along the way between a mail carrier picking up mail and its destination. Quite a few sorting people, and machines. The machines "eat" mail, I've had it happen multiple times over the years. I've also dropped off the rent check INside the PO and it never made it to the recipient *one zipcode away* - TWICE. Have also dropped mail in the curbside mailboxes in front of the PO and had it take 10 days to arrive or go missing.

I know many people handle the mail. I wasn't blaming our mail lady.

Haha- smoking behind a bush? You should take a picture of this and show it to the mail supervisor.
I get someone else's mail all the time. Lately it's improved a bit but for a while I had at least 3 or more things a week misdelivered. How do they get jobs and keep them?
