lip gloss vs lip stick

I was reading somewhere (I think maybe on MSN) that men prefer women to wear lipstick over lip gloss. Many of the men said they hate to kiss a woman wearing lip gloss because it feels slimy to them. In general these were guys in their 20's to 30's here. I have also noticed in my issue of Vogue this month that not one model was wearing lip gloss - they wear lipstick. It appears smooth more natural lips are trending back,which I am happy about, I never liked lip gloss. I'm with the guys - it feels slimy.
