Re: larry king.....at it again......DIVORCE

Well, IMO, 22 years is a good run .....  especially in Hollywood!

Re: larry king.....at it again......DIVORCE

When he was on top of his game, his shows were the best.  He would have been an interesting person to spend time with.  They each gave the other something wanted, neither went into the marriage without knowing the future land mines.  He deserves a peaceful end of his life, if divorce helps make that happen for him, so be it.  She'll be fine.  It would not surprise me if they've lived separately a lot of the time since they last separated some years ago.  I wish his boys well.

I agree with you about his shows, I enjoyed them, he certainly was one of the best.  He and his wife almost divorced several years ago and decided not to, they gave it their best and it didn't work.  I am sure they will be fine and wish all of them the best.

That is probably the reason. She kept waiting, not getting any younger, and every morning she would wake up to find him there.

The story on my phone said ,  she's been having an affair for a year, and he's the one ending the marriage. Too bad

Seven failed marriages tells me he must be a very difficult person to be around.

He was never home it seems ... always at a studio hosting .... makes sense.   His last one was a trophy wife, and I was surprised it lasted that long.

Re: larry king.....at it again......DIVORCE

I heard about this while on the road this morning. The morning crew was discussing the "why"; the official word that was giving to them (press release? I don't know) is that his wife found out he had been taking money out of their sons' trust funds for years. When he was confronted with this, he became quite vulgar and informed his sons they could go F themselves and make their own money as he owes none of them anything.

Kinda sad if true. Though they are older, they are STILL his sons and it's painful to be told such a thing by your parent. Trust me, I know.  No respect for him from the morning crew nor from any of those who spoke on air. Wonder what the damage control will be if true.

In any event, unless I hear about it while driving, it's not something I'll pay attention to. I wish all of them best in whatever happens.

Re: larry king.....at it again......DIVORCE

I’m absolutely shocked that he’s only 85. I would have guessed mid-90’s. I think he probably seems older, because when he began his talk show in 1985, he looked like he was in his 60’s even though he was in his early 50’s. He was always hunched over his desk with his suspenders and seemed kind of fragile. I wonder what prompts a divorce at their age? Perhaps she feels she is young enough to still have another chapter of romance. If she gets half of what he earned during their marriage, she might figure it’s more profitable to just divorce him if he’s leaving most of his estate to his 5 children. Perhaps he’s just intolerable, and it’s not about money at all.

I knew he was still living but I thought they had divorced years ago.  I remember them being in the news because of some fairly serious marital troubles.  Glad they worked it out to last 22 years.  I also remember her hosting some sort of C level entertainment type show.  This was before they were married....I think.

Follow the money.  That is always what one should do when looking at such a marriage.  I recall Larry was not the best father to his older children; as usual, he dotes on the two young ones, who seem to not like their mother much at this point.  But none of us know them, or what has happened.  She always seemed so fake to me - her father was Marie Osmond's manager, so she knew show business, but she also had a child to take care of from a previous relationship.
