Honestly, though, I don't see any changes here yet other than the removal of the ability to click on the Members Online. Seems like the same place as usual.

I haven't been around much, but things don't look different to me either.

I don't get why people need to see who is online. It seems kind of creepy that someone would want or use that feature.

I've always found this members online thing interesting.......personally I never even paid attention to it, yeah I knew it was there, but so what, it's not that your nick is listed someplace BUT what you're saying in a post that has any importance to me.

But what IS funny and kinda interesting is the people who seem the most upset about the list seem to be the ones that seem to spend time scouring the list.....LOL........and I know they do because I once was accused of spending 24/7 on this board....remember that one tansy?.........truth of the matter is........I'm not here all that much, I just never log off......why?, probably to lazy to do it LOL........but to be accused of being here 24/7 with no posts...........come on.........you know if I'm here I'm gonna say something and probably something some aren't going to like ROFL......but on the flip side........for someone to accuse someone of being here 24/7 and that person has no posts, means someone is parked on the members list checkin nicks........paranoia at it's finest...........................raven

Well....that's their story anyway! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I suppose I was speaking for myself, scottie. I can take a break for weeks or even months and then come by for a few days. It is fine either way. It does help if one has contact with their board friends through other means, of course.

I agree with you, Minky. I don't always log in here and I can go for a while without posting. Not all missing posters were "evicted", but you'll always have those who won't believe that people just walk away.

I know of a few myself, but I'm happy that I still have contact with them.

Others I know only here and I'd miss conversing with them if I stopped posting completely.

that was my opinion too, JJ's Mom. I don't really care who is signed in when I post.

" ability to click on the Members Online."

I made an observation/comment in reference to that a couple of days ago and my thread went "poof". It was OK, I left to run some errands and when I came home and looked. Whole thread was gone. Guess it went "south".

Yes, people did use it for silly reasons that's for sure. I think a person's post count is more indicative of just how much they're using the forums. Doesn't mean someone is here 24/7 but just likes to chat more compared with others. So, maybe removing the post count is a good idea too. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I agree. I posted somewhere yesterday that I don't need to know who's here to respond to their post. I can quote it and respond. If they see it and care to respond to me, they will, if not, ok.

I never treat this place as if it's in real time, anyway. I expect that posters here are doing other things the way I am and post when they're able.
