I have an i-pad. I downloaded a game called Pear daddy or something like that. It is not a game that I want to keep. I have tried the normal way to remove it. ---pressing the app until the apps vibrate and then pressing the x on the specific app. It has turned the app grey but not removed it. Is there anyone out there that can give me clearer instructions?

I don't know about i pads but when i had my tablet I could go to the app store and look for the app and tap it - it would say uninstall and I could tap that and it was gone.

That should work. Press and hold till it jiggles. Then click on the x. It will then ask you if you want to remove or keep. Tap on delete.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

henny, try doing a reboot on the iPad.

Hold down the sleep and home button at the same time. The screen will go black and then you'll see the apple.

When it comes back on, the app should be deleted

Thanks bri, will try that! I did start to do what happy said, but I had not used the app store, had just downloaded from candy crush, when the ad popped up.

Hi, hennypenny! I'm sorry you're having problems.

Try this:

Open “Settings.”

Tap “General.”

Select “Usage.”

Under “STORAGE” select “Show all Apps.” If the app name is located in the list under “STORAGE,” select the app. You’ll be given the option to “Delete App.’

If that doesn’t work, open the App Store and see if you can download the app again. If so, then you should be able to remove it the usual way. If you still can't resolve this, let us know which iPad you have, whether or not it's jailbroken, are there any other problems, and if the iOS is up-to-date.
