Hello,
I 've been thinking about this situation for over a week. I attended a birthday party for my sister in law of 35 years. When my husband and I arrived, she made a comment about my skirt ie
he said,"You know that skirt is too long"! Then burst out laughing. I am petite and after careful consideration about what to wear, I chose a light weight maxi skirt because of the hot weather. I was so taken aback that all I could say is that it is a maxi skirt. All of the guest heard the entire conversation. When I told my husband that it was hurtful , he simply said that this is how his family is. It doesn't mean anything. I thought that is was rude and insensitive to make the statement and even worse around guest. I just can't get it off of my mind. What do you think?
Thank you in advance
