you ever do something rash you regretted as soon as it was done?

I read on my nephews facebook a thank you from a friend of his who he gave a riding lawn mower to. I was so upset as my son needs one. Thing being, whenever I have something I am getting rid of I always think of them first and give them first dibbs. my feelings were very hurt. I have also lent them money to pay their mortgage with promises of being paid back in a month. Well it took 6 months. And also money to buy oil for their heat. I was rash and put, "i guess family doesnt mean anything to you. we'll remember that". he asked if I was for real and I said, "yep, count on it". now i regret it.
