hurting knee

My best freind and I have been planning a trip to Disney for months.We are over 60. Last week I started having knee issues. Never had this before. Went to the Dr and he said he did not feel it was torn or anything I probably just twisted it somehow when I was outside working. He did give me a shot. Well it has been 3 days and I still hurt. Before the shot I couldn't even bent my knee now I can but my leg hurts. I don't know if it's because I am favoring the leg or what. I want to go on this trip soooooo bad but I know if it doesn't get better I will not be able to walk along time. Advise please?
