People, I think we all need to check our smoke detectors. Just now on the news there was a story about a house fire, there were 4 kids and a babysitter- this was this afternoon-neighbors heard on the scanner the house was on fire, and broke in and got them out-they were unconsious, and one of the little kids died. Then Thurs night a man got home from work, and his house was on fire, his wife inside, and sadly, she died.

I know most of us do change our batteries when time changes, but I guess some times it gets overlooked, that is the sort of thing easily forgotten. And I don't know if they had working smoke detectors or not. DH says he thinks people get so disoriented from smoke it is just hard to find the way out. It is so, so sad.
