With Stacy's excellent education, background, ambition, and intellect, she will have many opportunities whenever she is ready to return to the workforce.
Of course she prefers to stay active in social media! That's where the next interesting position might be lurking. (I still receive offers, but at my age am not interested in working again. I do enjoy staying up-to-date in the fields in which I was so active for so many years and watching how things change.)
I don't think QVC was challenging enough for Stacy. She's too intelligent to be a shopping channel host (aka salesperson) with lousy hours and very few opportunities for advancement away from on-line sales.
Once a host, many of the outstanding ones realize it's not an ideal situation for them to sell boring items on horrible shifts without much mental stimulation or challenge from the endeavor. If they are able to afford the financial loss of leaving, they do so without regrets. But QVC has made them sign contracts in which they cannot talk negatively about their time working as a host! That's a red flag right there. Although most employees would never negate their previous employers, why would a company force employees to sign such a document? Fear!
Money screams; wealth whispers.
