I take my son for his cleanings twice a year,he gets x-rays once a year.Every time they find very small cavities inbetween teeth. last year he had 8,this year another 8.I don't understand it because he's not a big junk food eater and he's an athlete in high school and only drinks water. His coach brings in gatorade but he doesn't like it, so i don't know what it can be.I asked the dentist and he says it's the bottled water it has no flouride. So of course i'm taking him saturday to have 3 filled and they only use the white fillings which my insurance only covers very little.Last year i paid closely to nine hundred dollars.I don't know if i should get a second opinion on this. How can he get all these cavities within 6 months of every cleaning
