2 things.

I have the pay-as-you-go plan so if I run out of minutes, I can't call.   Are you sure you have phone minutes available?

2nd thing, not sure why your power is out but I've lived through several disasters when power has been out and the only way to communicate is by text.

I would restart the phone, also.

Turn your phone off then turn in on, it should work. This happened to me too a few weeks ago, looked at TracFone website & that was the trouble shooting instructions...if that doesn't work call their CS.

When cell towers are damaged, texts will work when phone calls don't.

Try taking the back off the phone, remove the battery and then put it back in, put the back on and try again.  When I remove the battery on my LG it will fix almost anything. Good luck.

Maybe the cell phone towers in your area are down.
