He won an on air contest early 2000's but he didn't last long. I don't think he really liked the job.

@Nancy DrewDave James was a QVC host from July 2004 to June 6, 2013. That's nine years. Shorter compared to some other hosts, but that's all long time in the same job if you don't like it.

dave james was great and i LOVED his "late night talk show" sales show.

Wow....I never heard of that. QVC asking folks to send in a tape. I thought it was a joke! Before my time. I really wasn't watching QVC till about 2013...somewhere around that time.If I was watching,it would have been ShopNBC and only for gold. I googled him. He doesn't look familiar. i wonder if QVC will ever do that again?

I just saw a show from 2005 with James. They had a live audience?? Tacky looking props in the background/

Honestly, Dave James was one of my favorite hosts. I liked his calm demeanor, he was great at selling everything. I believe he had or has a photography business. I liked this overnight shows.
