For years I had severe pain, finally saw an orthopod and had my achilles tendon removed and a large bone spur. The tendon was damaged and he removed it and used the one from my big toe. About two years later I had the other one done. The recovery is long--about three months in a wheel chair, but I have had no pain since the surgeries were done. For years I tried the other "bandaid fixes, but nothing worked. I could not believe the size of the bone spurs!!!
I also walk fine-no limping,etc.
