hearing problem

I have a dear male friend who is a bit older and we enjoy going out for lunch, etc. However, his hearing is getting worse and it is not up to me to say anything and actually it is quite funny to hear his answers to my questions which mean nothing to the subject!

We just came back from lunch and everyone hears what we say. I am not complaining since he is such a nice man but does anyone else here have a problem like this?
