My son came to me when I was awake right after he died.  I haven't had a visit since.  He's probably busy playing basketball up in the clouds.  He was an ardent fan!  I hope your Mom comes back.  Maybe if you concentrate really hard when you're awake, she'll visit you in another dream!

@fortune I have always heard when you see a Cardinal that it is a loved one from heaven, I see them all the time in the yard, and I always say "Hi Mom & Dad", and then one time I was going through a difficult time, a Cardinal appeared in one of the living room windows looking straight at me, I cannot say for sure how long it stayed but it was long enough for me to take notice and assure him that I just needed a good cry but that I would be OK, he lingered for a bit and then flew away, I will always remember that!
