Yes they are.  Ours were here yesterday with our dd & dsil & they are 12, 14 & 16.

Grandchildren remind me how much children have to learn about life and how their experiences can affect them.  They also have such lineal thought patterns....

My niece was acting up in a restaurant once and I told her "do you see that chair over there?  It has your name on it."  She ran over to the chair to see where her name was.  

When she was even younger, barely talking, I had them for the weekend while my sister and BIL went away for the weekend.  She kept asking where they were and I made the mistake of saying "they went on an airplane."  She spent the entire weekend looking out the window at the sky watching every plane that went by asking if that was where mommy and daddy were.

Today I asked my 13 year-old granddaughter to throw something away in the waste-paper basket....she had no clue what I was talking about!  She calls it a trash bin.  I'm guessing nowadays  "waste-paper" goes in the recycle bin!  Never thought I'd be so out-dated!
