I hardly ever go anymore. The clothes are mainly for thinner, younger women.  I don't need jewelry or knick knacks.  Just not much there anymore for me.  So I'm going to Starbuck then walking around to see holiday decor.  I've seen the indoors malls close in a couple of cities.

I have only been to a mall once in the last 4 or 5 years!  And that was just to "people watch" !!

If I need to buy anything other than groceries, I just go online to purchase.  I have also seen two rather large malls that closed before their time.  One was bustling with activity one year and closed two years later.

I went to the mall the other day. Have not been there all year. I was surprised how many stores closed and how many are barely hanging on. This mall is in a great area. I think with all the online shopping that a lot of people don't go to the mall. The stores are really leaning to the young customers. Now what's going on in this world today I would be a little afraid of a crowded  mall. Yes you have to live your life not in fear so did the people in Paris. Just a nice Friday night  out. I like the shopping channels and other sights. Some free shipping. Beats crowds, looking for a parking place and all the crazy drivers.

I hardly ever go to our mall, so many of the stores have closed and it seems to cater to a younger age group....The few times I have been, it has really been empty or else filled with a bunch of kids running around...I like 3 stores in our mall, and I usually go into those 3 and leave, but most of my shopping is done online these days!!!!I hate the crowds!!

I still like going to the mall. Our outdoor mall is gorgeous all year - flowers, fountains, shops, and restaurants. For Christmas, they have an outdoor Christmas market. Some nights we just walk around and listen to the music. I shop online and in person.

I love the mall and I love shopping.  We have a lot of new stores in our mall this past year.  We have a couple leave in the past but they've returned.

I think it depends on not only the market in your area but also who is managing a given mall.

There was one by me that we were all  assuming would close and after tinkering with a few things it is busier than ever.

Economy always is the first consideration but management is also key.

I only go to the mall to Kohl's to return items that didn't work out for me from an online purchase or to get my hair cut or permed. I do 99.9 % of my shopping online. It's much more convenient & online I can usually find what I want (size, color, etc)

I still shop at times at the enclosed mall near me. Especially like Macy's to get things for my little granddaughters. I like the enclosed mall better than the larger "town-like" malls that have been built recently.

We don't have a mall but we do have a town center. I guess it's like a small downtown area than has 3 "anchor" stores and covers 3 streets each 3 blocks long.

I was there today new leggings and the new Adele cd. I like to walk the area for a mini work out.
