Re: free shipping problems

[ Edited ]

@little missy   I took your post as venting more than anythiing else - maybe not realizing before that the Q won't honor the free shipping on previous purchases.  I do always keep an ear out for the "something big is coming announcements" and if the item I want is on sale and I think it could sell out, I typically will just go ahead and buy it because the price could be higher or it may sell out before a free shipping day (this is the case with some LNL Tritan I recently bought - the sale price with shipping was a better deal than with free shipping).

I have definitely had the free shipping date pop up after purchases, so I understand your frustration - I just think it's too difficult for QVC to manage too many refunds plus it's too big a hit to their bottom line.

Keep in mind too - free shipping days seem to be much more frequent coming into the holiday shopping period - so keep that wish list locked and loaded!  :-)

I hope you enjoy your purchase when you do finally receive it!

The title of your thread is inaccurate.  There is no free shipping problem.  The problem is more about your greed and entitlement.  Follow the rules like everyone else.  Sheesh. 🙄

The September AARP Bulletin said that prices are going to change even faster this holiday season and recommended six apps to tell you when to buy:

-PayPalHoney

-CamelCamelCamel

-Pricepulse

-CapitolOneShopping

-GoogleShopping

-Flipp

I ordered 3 of the pie takers 2 days before the free shipping, and I notified qvc's customer service asking if I could get these items on free shipping.  The representative said no I could not, and I couldn't cancel my order either, because she said it was allready in process, although it hasn't even shipped as of yet.  Customer service said the order has to be cancelled 3 hours prior to ordering Who would know?  It just does not seem right the way the customers are treated.

I somehow doubt the CS rep said that.  How would you cancel "prior to ordering"?  Woman Frustrated

There is no issue with the way the customer is being treated.  The free shipping isn't retroactive.  (They may, it seems, honor it if you ordered within 24 hours of it starting.)

How far back would you expect them to go?  Three days?  Four?  A week?  A month?  Then someone would say "But I ordered one month and one day ago.  Do I get free shipping?"  It would never end.

@Venezia I think she means cancelling the initial order and then reordering to get the new benefit.  She doesn't seem to understand the definitions of status terms "In Process" and "Shipped" either.  🤷‍♀️

Anyone who had shopped with QVC in recent years or reads this knows there is only short window to cancel a purchase.  They announced Super Saturday a week in advance, that always means free s&h.  If you missed it and your pur carriers.  Oh well.  You missed the free shipping.  Do you think you are the only one in your situation?  Why would QVC make price adjustments just because we missed out on free shipping day?

Although I agree that the Q has a definite window for free shipping and it is clearly announced, I am questioning the amount of hostile replies I see here.

I don't understand the need for this. Can't the response be stated without all the hostile remarks? This OP is stating a concern..why does she need to be addressed with such a negative response?

@Regal Bee  it does not hurt to ask and that's what @little missy  did. You never know if a CS rep would have done it just this one time. I bought something a day before Free Shipping and I asked and I got it. I've always heard that one day before isn't a problem.

I know her's was 2 days before but what was wrong with her asking? Nothing. And almost ever Poster is saying the same thing. Don' they read before posting?

Expecting special treatment and ragging on QVC when it doesn't happen is what's uncalled for.  QVC did nothing wrong.
